Judge criticizes FDA's move on Plan B
Tue May 7, 2013
Children are not computers. You cannot program a child and expect it to perform as you direct it to every time. Children are human beings, and human beings are (generally) capable of independent thought. Just because a child sneaks around having sex doesn't make the parents bad at parenting. A child …
The germiest spots in your kitchen -- where you least expect them
Fri May 3, 2013
One of the health problems in the US is that we're trying to be TOO clean. These areas are dirty, yes. Should we try to clean them better? Yes. Should we eat food directly out of the sink? No. Should we all worry about dying because of this study (which really isn't a surprise to some of us)? No. I' …
Virgin America wants fliers to 'get lucky' at 35,000 feet
Wed Apr 24, 2013
I fail to see how this is any different than instant messages online or online dating. You see someone that interests you (be it for sex, conversation or whatever. Sex is NOT required, people) and message them. You have conversation or don't. With the anti-terrorism fears on airplanes now, har …
Americans more likely to discuss salary, weight, than credit card debt
Thu Apr 25, 2013
I have no CC debt. None. Aside from my mortgage and monthly bills I owe no one a dime. I do this by living within my means. Would I like to go out more, buy more things to renovate my home, etc? Sure! Is it worth getting in debt and ending up only being able to afford the interest? No. I shake my he …
Maine 'hermit' gets marriage proposal, bail offer
Mon Apr 15, 2013
He's accused of theft. Minor thefts. Thefts of things to live on. He's not accused of stealing cars, jewelry, big-ticket items, etc. He had something like $300 total to his name for emergencies. He has not been accused on a single violent crime. Not one. Tacking on extra charges and raising his bail …

Anti-Thatcher party in London draws hundreds
Sat Apr 13, 2013
It's fine to have political differences with someone, but throwing a party in the street because they died is uncalled for. Unless said person is a mass-murderer then I see no reason to find these people any less than despicable
'Ready to die for my new country': Gaining quick citizenship in combat boots
Sat Apr 27, 2013
I agree, we should rethink immigration. I think, in fact, immigration is a horrible idea. Any illegal immigrants and their descendants should be deported or, if they put up a fight, shot! Let's arm the Native Americans and let them commit genocide by killing what, 99% of the countries population? Ye …
Busted! Adults text-and-drive more than teens
Fri Mar 29, 2013
Ooohh.... good idea! While we're driving, if we see someone doing something as dangerous as texting while driving, we should use our phones to video them and then send it into the police! Really? Reallyreally?
Obama, EPA to unveil proposal to clean up emissions
Thu Mar 28, 2013
Fuel costs will never drop significantly again. Once people get used to paying X amount there is no incentive for stations to reduce the cost. It's, in a way, a monopoly. We have no large-scale alternative to fueling our vehicles so they can charge $10/gal and we'd still pay it.
